Potential

Capable of being, but not yet existing… this is the definition of potential. The capabilities and possibilities which exist in each of us vary depending on your life circumstances, however I feel that if you are capable of reading this post, endless possibilities await within you.

When it boils down to it, choice (which is influenced by perception) is what opens doors or closes them in this life.

When looking upon the vast civilizations of our ancient past, many begin to wonder… how on earth were they capable of achieving such magnificent feats of knowledge? The answer is: the same way you are capable.

The brilliant minds of humanity are a result of choice; sometimes influenced by a thirst for knowledge, or a calling which beckons one to push themselves further than ever believed possible.

Perception drastically influences choice. If one believes, “I can never do this”, it becomes a personal truth, which then builds up invisible yet formidable walls around your possibilities. The more you believe you are not capable, the more it becomes reality.
However, if one believes that endless possibilities exist, they are not held back by fear of the unknown or fear of failure, for they realize that for each failure, success could just be around the corner. Failure is not the end, but simply a moment for more growth.

The ancient people of humanity mapped the stars because they were not held back by the belief that it was not possible.
Rather, they opened their eyes, and realized the vast cosmos provided much information…which then lead to the choice of learning all that they could. This drive to learn more of the cosmos still exist to this day.

For some, all it takes is a word, a vision within, a sight (external), or a connection to realize that the ability to tap into their potential has always existed, waiting for them to take notice.
For others, it may be easier to live simply believing you are only capable of so much.

I am simply telling you that you are no different than the brilliant minds you have witnessed or experienced throughout your life… but, truly, share the same capabilities if the right choices are taken to cultivate them.

YOU can BE endless possibilities…
Do not settle for limitations.

2012

I’ve never been as excited for a new year as I am for 2012. Soooo many amazing projects and collaborations coming into fruition.
All of us have what it takes to make this year truly something remarkable.
Yes, there will be distractions thrown our way…but we see them just as they are: distractions.
The distractions cannot stop what is currently taking place.
The ripples of love, universal consciousness, awareness, and compassion will continue to grow and blossom. The light within us all will continue to shine brighter each and every day.
This is OUR time. Together, we can show the world that people STILL care.
Together, we can show the world that many of us have NOT forgotten our true nature.
Eternal love, the highest vibration of being.

To me, this is not just ‘a year like every other year.’
In 2006, I dedicated my life to helping others realize their own inner-potential, while helping to bring awareness, curiosity, and interest to the world around us as well. Since that point, I have networked and worked with over 10,000 people globally, sharing information and helping one another to our best capabilities.
I have experienced things that have changed my life in unimaginably beautiful ways, and have seen the same happen to others.  We are capable of so much more than we  are taught to believe.

If you choose to delete me because you think this post is too “new agey”, then so be it.
But to me, this is not ‘new age’… this is my life. I live to help others. I understand that ALL is energy, and that each  thought, intention, action, and word ripples outwards and back into us.
I choose to embody LOVE - and to live as love, so I can grow from every moment.
I do not wish to be a victim of life, but rather, live in the awareness that all is connected. All is one.

So, my friends: this year can be an amazing one, or not. It is up to US, the people… to show the world what we are capable of.

Remember…

In this very moment, infinite paths exist… our every thought, intention, action, and word pushes us further down the path which best matches our way of life.
If one chooses to cultivate fear, negativity, greed, jealousy, hate…they will progress down that path, encountering more and more similar experiences.
If one chooses love, compassion, understanding, and awareness… the traveler will encounter more of those experiences along the way.

Keep in mind, always, that we are energy…constantly changing our experience through what we put outwards into the universe, and by what we keep within ourselves.

And if you ever feel alone along your chosen path, remember… we ALL share the same universe. We are ALL in this ultimate experience, together.

I’m grateful for it all.

Every single aspect of existence is immensely beautiful to me, at this point in my life.
The universe works in such brilliant ways… providing doors of opportunity and growth at every turn.
My one dream on this planet is that others will soon realize the endless potential and beauty that exists at the core of all things, which can create ripples of immense positive change.

I’m so grateful to be in this moment, watching life unfold before my very eyes…while also actively creating alongside it, sculpting the life I wish to live… in hopes that perhaps something I say or do can incite curiosity or inspire another to dig deeper into their true nature…their true essence.

Life… it never ceases to leave me in awe..

To be mindful…

In Buddhism, mindfulness is plays an important role in day-to-day life. It is the seventh aspect of the Noble Eightfold Path. It is also one of the seven factors of enlightenment. However, one does not need to be Buddhist or take part in any religion to reap the psychological benefits of what it means to be mindful each day.

To be mindful, in essence, means that your mind exists in the present moment. It observes, but does not judge.
When walking, you are aware of yourself walking. You walk. You are mindful of the walk.
When eating, your attention stays on the act of eating. You are in the present moment.

Many people live each day as if they are in the present moment, but their mind is leaping from the past to the future and to the past again, only taking notice of the present moment during specific activities.

It is a beautiful experience to truly remain in the present, rather than to let life pass you by as you remained fixated on things or experiences you wish happened to you in the past, or dream of happening in the future. Embrace the moment!

Activities which help bring us into the present moment are: painting, sculpting, writing music, dancing, the act of smoking (marijuana, for example), gardening, meditation, yoga, free flow writing, reading a book, and more.
Of course, during these activities, the mind may wander (as it loves to do) but overall, you remain in the present.

Now, this does not mean that one should not plan ahead or have goals. When living in the present, one can be mindful of the act of creating future goals or making plans.
This is different than the act of day dreaming of all the things which may or may not happen.

In conclusion: mindfulness is a simple practice to remain aware of the present rather than letting the mind live in the past/future.
It may take time to cultivate this act on a day-to-day basis, but it is well worth it. It’s practice is used in modern psychology and is also applied to reduce stress, anxiety, A.D.H.D., irritable bowl syndrome (mixed with yoga), and many more issues.
Give it a whirl!

Peel away the layers

Upon peeling away the layers of the self, what is left?

Remove your religious and spiritual beliefs, your job, your skin color, your date of birth, your location of birth, where you currently live, what you love and what you hate, your judgments, your pain, your past memories and future expectations, your thoughts, and your physical body.

What is left?

Practically all things, physically and mentally, will fade away or change…

Except one “thing”…

Your essence… the consciousness that created all that you know to be ‘you’…
The eternal love which is found at the core of all manifestations in existence.

This pure love cannot be phased by external sources, nor can it fade away, or change. It is unending, forever lasting, pure beauty… pure light.

What does it mean to be mindful?
